Solar PV Installation at Pendra Loweth Café Bar, Falmouth

We recently installed a solar PV system at Pendra Loweth Café Bar, situated within the Pendra Loweth Holiday Village in Falmouth, Cornwall. The café bar serves as a welcoming hub for visitors, offering a family-friendly space with dining, drinks, a shop, and takeaway services.

As part of a holiday village dedicated to relaxation and sustainability, this renewable energy investment not only helps reduce the site’s carbon footprint but also enhances its facilities for both guests and the environment. Furthermore, it aligns with the village’s overall commitment to environmental responsibility.

Installation System Design

System Size:  51.24 kWp Solar Panels:  122 x JA Solar Mono Black Frame 420W Inverter:  Solaredge 3-Phase Inverter with P1000 Optimisers The team designed and installed a bespoke solar PV system tailored to meet the café’s specific energy needs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency year-round. By leveraging advanced power optimisers, the system maximises energy production, even in challenging conditions such as partial shading or variable weather.

Performance and Financial Benefits

The solar PV system at Pendra Loweth Café Bar has a capacity of 51.24 kWp and is expected to generate 44,436.63 kWh annually. This will result in an estimated annual saving of £11,802, with a payback period of just over three years, based on a 25-year protection model. In addition to these financial savings, the system provides significant environmental benefits. Specifically, it will reduce CO₂ emissions by around 8.50 tonnes each year, further supporting the café’s commitment to sustainability and contributing to a greener future.
