The Cornwall Business Awards are just around the corner

It’s the eve of the Cornwall Business Awards 2015 and we are starting to get a little nervous here at GreenGen.

Rob Carey, Managing Director and Founder of GreenGenUK, has made the final shortlist for Young Business Person of the Year 2015, an award that acknowledges the contributions to Cornish business (both start-ups and to existing businesses) by persons under the age of 30. Nominated alongside Lyssa Fee-Crump of Anevay and Tom Matthews of the Cornwall Air Ambulance, Rob has made it down to the final three candidates.

The Cornwall Business Awards, now in their tenth year, are a celebration of innovation, achievement and entrepreneurial spirit within the Cornish business community. The prestigious event is a showcase of the talent and growth the Cornish business community has in abundance and showcases why Cornwall’s economy is one of the best in the UK.

Winners of the awards will be subject the voting of a carefully selected panel of judges, all of which are celebrities of the Cornish business community. Key criteria the panel will be basing their voting on include creativity, innovation and dynamism.

The awards take place tomorrow, Thursday 14th May, at St. Mellion International Resort. There is still time to book last-minute tickets and come along to support Cornish business success.

The evening is a black-tie event kicking-off at 6:30pm with a champagne reception followed by an awards dinner before the presentation of the awards at around 10pm. Guest speaker Dr. Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE words are likely to be one of the highlights of the occasion.
