Recently, we headed to Wiltshire to install a 5.04 kW solar PV system with battery storage. Aiming to reduce electricity bills, increase energy independence and contribute to environmental sustainability. We proudly install all across the South West, bringing advanced renewable energy solutions to a wide range of locations.
The installation included:
12 x JA Solar Mono Black Frame 420W
Schletter/Renusol Mounting System
Solis Data Logging Stick Monitoring Software
GivEnergy Hybrid Inverter 5kW – Gen 3
GivEnergy 5.2kWh Battery
We conducted a comprehensive site visit to assess roof suitability, potential shading and structural integrity. We then created a custom system design, considering optimal panel placement and electrical requirements. The client also opted for additional bird-meshing for protection and we installed the battery externally, minimising disruption.
The solar and battery Storage installation in Wiltshire is expected to produce an estimated annual output of approximately 5.04kW. The integration of battery storage enhances self-consumption, significantly reducing reliance on the grid. This leads to substantial cost savings on electricity bills by generating the homeowner’s own electricity and utilizing stored energy for peak shaving. Additionally, there is potential income from the feed-in tariff for excess electricity fed back to the grid, subject to local tariff regulations.
The environmental impact is notable, with a reduction in CO2 emissions contributing to a lower carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy. Furthermore, the system provides greater control over energy usage and protection against rising electricity prices, promoting energy independence.
This solar and battery storage installation in Wiltshire successfully met the client’s objectives, providing a reliable and efficient energy solution. The system’s design and components ensured maximum energy production and storage. The integration of advanced monitoring and battery technology has empowered the homeowner with greater energy independence and resilience against fluctuating energy costs.
