Pendennis Shipyard 25kW Solar PV Install

GreenGenUK recently installed 96 Hanwha Q.Cells 260w Q.Pro G3 Solar Modules as part of Pendennis Shipyard’s Development of three new water facing sheds and crew offices.

EIC Ltd, who are the mechanical and electrical contractors for the project awarded the solar PV installation to GreenGenUK in February 2014.

As part of the design there were several conditions that had to be factored in to the product selection, most importantly salt air resistance warranty. We proposed the use of Hanwha Q.Cells Q.Pro G3 modules as they come with one of the strongest performance warranties as well as salt air and ammonia resistance warranty.
We coupled the modules with a Renusol MetalSol mounting system as well as a PowerOne Aurora TRIO inverter.

The installation has been estimated to produce over 22,000kWh of electricity each year as well as saving 12 Tonnes of Co2.
