Commercial Solar PV array installed on an agricultural dairy farm based near Helston, Cornwall

GreenGenUK installed a 54.12kW Solar PV array at an agricultural farm, embracing renewable energy solutions and becoming energy independent. This case study looks into the benefits of commercial solar.

Tregarrick Farm is a new Robotic milking parlor near Helston, they experience high energy usage and so looking into a cost-effective energy solution was a must! We visited the business and conducted a site visit. During this time, we were able to discuss the needs of the new business with the owner, these were to reduce their operation costs and carbon footprint.

A bespoke proposal was sent and the installation included:

Due to the roof having very little Shading, we were able to install 6 rows of 22 panels on the corrugated cement fibre roof. We have estimated that this commercial Solar PV installation angled at 40﮿ with a 17﮿ pitch will generate 54174.12Kw of output in the first year, meaning great savings on electricity bills and a very attractive payback!
