The Mitsubishi Ecodan PUHZ range is Mitsubishi’s comprehensive air source heat pump offering.
The Ecodan PUHZ provides a renewable alternative to traditional heating technologies and covers 100 percent of domestic heating and hot water demand.
With three models readily available, the Ecodan PUHZ range can cater for both new build and retrofit installations. With a number of different applications and unit outputs available, the Ecodan PUHZ range is suitable for projects ranging from small flats to large houses.
With three different unit sizes available, the Ecodan PUHZ can be designed and specified to match the varying heat demand of each project on an individual basis. As will all heat pump installations, the sizing of the heating unit is the key – as an undersized heat pump will have to work too hard and an oversized heat pump will not be working close enough to capacity to be efficient. With a variety of units available, the Mitsubishi Ecodan should be a consideration for all domestic properties.
The three Ecodan PUHZ air source heat pump units available are:
Ecodan PUHZ-W50VHA2
The smallest PUHZ unit available, this 5kW heat pump is ideal for installation in small to medium new builds and smaller retrofit projects. With improvements in heat retention and changes in building regulations, the Ecodan PUHZ 5kW unit handles the heat demand of more heat efficient new build projects but with a variable capacity can comfortably generate heat and hot water for small, older buildings.
Ecodan PUHZ-W85VHA2
Mitsubishi’s 8.5kW Ecodan PUHZ unit is their most commonly installed air source heat pump, suitable for installation in both new builds and retrofit properties. This 8.5kW heat pump matches with the heat demand of most 3-5 bedroom properties.
Ecodan PUHZ-W114 and PUHZ-140
Ecodan PUHZ-W112 and PUHZ-140 air source units are specifically designed to cater for domestic properties with a larger heating requirement. Mitsubishi’s largest domestic units are perfectly suited to installation in traditional homes built before changes to building regulations led to enhanced thermal efficiency and heating and hot water demand is far higher.
Below are just some of the Ecodan PUHZ’s key features:
– Self-contained unit only requiring water and electric connections
– Single and three phase solutions available
– Charged at 5 percent VAT on domestic installations and zero percent on new builds
– Helps to achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes
– Operational in outside temperatures as low as -20°C
– Available as a stand-alone unit or as a complete package
– Market leading capacity performance at lower temperatures
– Industry-leading noise output levels
– Energy monitoring as standard
– MCS accredited unit eligible for government subsidies
– Seven-year warranty as standard when installed by GreenGenUK
– Significantly reduces carbon output and energy bills of domestic dwellings
