GreenGenUK recently carried out an installation of a Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump for a Home Owner based in The Lizard, Cornwall.
When the homeowners external oil combination boiler broke down, he was faced with the decision of repairing the boiler or replacing it. Having already installed Solar PV modules, it was clear a heating and hot water system that could make use of the generated electricity was going to be the best option.
It was proposed the new heating system would consist of an 8.5kW Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump, Kingspan Albion Unvented hot water cylinder as well as an Immersun Solar Switch to make sure as much of the generated electricity is used on site.
We estimate that this system will reduce the heating and hot water bills by 40%+ per year!
Our customer was eligible for the Renewable Heat Premium Payment worth £850 as well as a Top Up voucher from the heat pump manufacturer worth £400.
