After providing a number of 4 and 8kW solar PV proposals, the customer chose to go ahead with an 8kW Panasonic proposal. As the PV system size is above the maximum permitted output, GreenGenUK guided and assisted the customer in obtaining the relevant Western Power permissions.
This 8kW solar PV system consists of:
32 Panasonic HIT N Series 240W Black solar panels
2 StecaGrid 3010W inverters
1 Elster/L&G generation metre
1 Schletter slate roof mounting kit
1 Solar iBoost
This 8kW system includes installation of a Solar iBoost. This technology enables any the generated solar energy that’s unused to be used to provide hot water. Doing this means the annual benefit of the solar installation is increased and the payback period reduced. These additional savings have not been included in the financial benefits found below.
As an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited installer installing MCS accredited parts, the solar PV system fitted for the customer is eligible for 20 years of Feed-in Tariff payments.
Estimated annual output of the 8kW solar PV system:
– 8306kWh
The 8kW solar PV system is expected to provide the customer with the following financial benefits:
– £1007 of Feed-in Tariff generation metre payments per annum*
– £201 of Feed-in Tariff export payments per annum*
– £581 of electricity savings per annum*
*Calculation assume only 50 percent of the solar energy generated will be used.
The total annual benefit of this 8kW solar PV system is estimated to be:
Total annual benefit of £1790
GreenGenUK estimated this solar panel installation will pay itself back in 7.9 years.
